MeCCR V''    Mike's electronic Closed Circuit Rebreather - Version II

Again from scratch. Reinvent the second wheel. and again with some specialties !! :-)

With the help of modern 3D CAD tool, Solid Edge, I designed my new version "in the dry".
Based on my "in water experiences" I was able so simulate in my computer weight distribution etc.
This helped a lot to avoid errors. The holes in the "green connection body" were difficult to dimension and place.

You can
click here to see 3D in your browser.
It's based on Solid Edge, a Siemens product.  On the left side you can run a part tree, on the right you can hide parts etc...

Never finished ( according to my lovely wife) but operable as mCCR from first day on.

Lungs have tube and valves

The housing is made by fiberglass. The scrubber is double walled and allows better heat
in the chalk. the lungs are protected between body and separation plate, giving 5 cm of
"flat lounge". Breathing resistance is extraordinary, guess I could have CE. The green "body"
connecting the scrubber contains also the three mechanically closable sensors. That allows
cleaning by rinse, no dismounting, that's why lungs have small tubes and valves to purge liquid.
Pneumatic system uses 25 bar tubes and stainless steel connections.

Last but not least trick is using sailing ships traveller rails to fix the weights giving superb fine trim
and dismounting them after dive and replace them by normal "rope sliders" allows travel-fixation.
